My Pink Rose lil girl Miniature Schnauzer

Miniature Schnauzers are a standardized AKC breed of dog that is recognized by three dominant colors, or better said, in the United States the AKC registry only recognizes, for competitive show purposes, three colors which are Salt and Pepper, Black and Silver, and Jet Black.

The Salt and Pepper Miniature is two tone shades of grey. This color is the most dominant gene. That is to say no matter what the two colors of the mom and dad you can always give birth to a Salt and Pepper. This is the easiest color to produce.

However, to produce Black and Silver Miniature Schnauzer puppies is a little more difficult because unlike the Salt and Pepper which is a dominant gene the Black and Silver color is a recessive gene. We are now beginning to see more and more black and silver AKC Mini Schnauzer puppies.

TNow the solid black, the jet black, the totally all black Schnauzer is a completely different story. The only method of producing a black Miniature Schnauzer puppy is that one or both of the parents are black. However, even though a salt and pepper can still be born due to its dominant gene. The solid black gene is the most recessive. I actually waited 11 years before I was able to find a quality solid black Miniature Schnauzer puppy. Now, I am able to give qualified buyers this rare and precious color, the black!

The Miniature Schnauzer is the most popular breed worldwide, primarily for its temperament and relatively small size. As of 2017 it is the 17th most popular breed in the United States.
