My Husband Told Me I Couldn’t Have A Dog….

I have owned many breeds of dogs over my xxx number of years. I was born with a dog in my crib. From as early as I can remember we always owned a dog and several different breeds. We owned Springer Spaniels, Coon Dogs, Hound Dogs, Cocker Spaniels, German Shepherds, and then as a young adult I owned Poodles, German Shepherds and Miniature Schnauzers.

When I was a child we even owned a wild raccoon that we domesticated, wild rabbits, geese, goats, horses, dogs and cats.

I remember obedience training and AKC showing my dog “Vonnie”. She was an incredible German Shepherd female. We had pups. I won several obedience trials. I was a 4-H for Dog member.

I remember “breaking in” my yearling horse.

I have even witnessed my German Shepherd nursing a kitten.

When my husband told me I couldn’t have a dog…..well, he now lives in a separate home.

I love animals.

I did my research on Miniature Schnauzers and this is what I found.

A “Miniature Schnauzer” is less domineering than the larger schnauzers and less dog-aggressive than most terriers including the Standard Schnauzer.
